SAIT Hosts ‘Ankuran 2023’: A Confluence of Young Innovators and Technology
Jabalpur, September 16, 2023 – St. Aloysius Institute of Technology (SAIT), Jabalpur, successfully organized ‘Ankuran 2023’ on Friday, a tech fest held under the flagship of Ecosoft Pvt. Ltd. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students of various schools and colleges across Jabalpur, who showcased their innovative ideas through working models, static models, and posters.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Most Rev. Gerald Almeida (Bishop, Catholic Diocese of Jabalpur), Somit Shrivastav (Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jabalpur Region), Rinku Vij (Chairperson, Jabalpur Municipal Corporation), Dr. S.S. Sandhu (Director, DIC), Dr. Fr. Davis George (Director, SAIT), Dr. Smita Srivastava (Principal, SAIT), Dr. Renu Pandey (Principal, SAIT Education), and Fr. Leo D’Souza (Administrator, SAIT).
Participants presented projects on cutting-edge themes such as artificial intelligence, IoT robotics, control automation, and electric vehicle technology. The top three participants will be awarded cash prizes and certificates. The event witnessed impressive participation, with 22 schools—including St. Xavier’s Shanti Nagar, St. Aloysius School Sadar, Rimjha, St. Thomas, Army School, and Khalsa School—and 10 colleges contributing over 210 models and 250 posters.
The competition was judged by experts including Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Ankit Rajak, Dinesh Mishra, S.R. Dubey, and Nishant Soni.
In his address, Somit Shrivastav, Deputy Commissioner, encouraged students to innovate for society and strive for sustainable development. The event was coordinated by Dr. Dilip K. Sen with support from SAIT faculty members Anoop Banerjee, Nikhil Shrivastava, Jitesh Pandey, Vivek Sahu, Mohd. Parvez, Ankur Dave, Ashish Choubey, Dr. Meeta Verma, and others.
The inaugural ceremony was hosted by Lahrinslami and Gulkar Alam under the guidance of Disha Ramtek, Deepa Jaiswal, and Priyanka Rajak.
‘Ankuran 2023’ served as a platform for young minds to demonstrate their technical prowess and creativity, reinforcing SAIT’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in education.
